these are not my photos but we did drive right by this set (top photo) last weekend.  they had a number of streets closed.  this weekend they have michigan ave closed.  i'm going to try to get my own pictures!

we took a trip down to kansas city to visit the other taylor family for the holiday weekend.  butch and linda drove in from st. louis, too.  per usual, a GREAT time!  alex and julia really wore emmit out =)  even with his efforts to convince you otherwise =(
