christmas was short this year. I came down with the flu- on christmas eve and was sick for the next 3 days. we had to cancel our trip to STL because of it. We went to keith's house for ethan's birthday and christmas eve, I got up on christmas morning for presents and breakfast, and then I went back to bed. micah, emmit, and scarlet went to dinner with G.G. and uncle greg without me. so here's the only video I got from christmas day along with a couple pictures from christmas eve. that is all :(

the roller derby

we had ethan and emily spend the night saturday (eve of easter). we took them to see the windy city rollers all stars play montreal and toronto. toronto won one bout and chicago won the "big" bout. we gave the kids a quick lesson in how the bout is played and they completely had it figured out-- cheering right along even!!! micah was impressed because it took him 3 games to learn the rules. at 2 different intermissions, dizzy lizzy performed a few hula hoop routines and emily LOVED it/her.  (she was sitting very close to us in between her acts and I caught emily just starring at her :)  we were able to catch dizzy lizzy afterwards and I got a picture of her with emily. I edited the picture by adding some girlie embellishments and then micah printed up a "poster" at work. I can't wait to give it to her, which is why you only get the original version until my big reveal to emily...
