its beginning to look a lot like christmas

yesterday i wanted to take emmit to see santa on state street.  i tried to get us both up and ready "early."  i also thought it would be easier to take the underground.  well, you know how that goes.  all i have to offer is, the monroe station doesn't have an elevator for the stroller and ALL their escalators were out of service.  no, i did not turn around and go home nor did anyone offer to help me carry my 25 lbs stroller WITH my 25 lbs boy up 2 flights of stairs.  i then schlepped up 5 more stories, at least this time in an elevator, only to see the line for santa wrapped around the children's dept.  at 10:30 am?  done. went home.  so i tried again today doing everything the exact opposite of yesterday.

they sure know how to keep a kid busy

new friends

paulie, noah, mary, (and faith) was the family in back of us and they're pictured on top.  carter and evelyn were in front of us.  the last photo is all of us taking a break (in line) from waiting (in line).

santa states the rules (chapter II)

*i don't know why there is no sound.  i'm checking into it*
i was taking pictures during the first chapter of rules... be good (blah blah) santa brings you toys... emmit listens well.

bad mom

i couldn't help myself. emmit was SSOOO cute all dressed up for the snow. we walked edgar down a couple of houses and back before emmit fell down in the snow without his gloves on (because he ALWAYS takes them off). that was that. over it. i snapped these photos during his stubborn, temper-tantrum. he's not a buenzow-taylor!

gifts from arizona

dear poppa and gramma,

thank you!!  as you can tell, i LOVE playing with my trucks!  i opened my present on thursday night.  my dad said you mailed it to him at work a long time ago but he said he kept forgetting to bring it home for me.  that's ok for now cuz i'm one.  i got to play trucks for a long time on thursday before i had to go to bed. (i think mom and dad let me stay up a little later than usual because i was having so much fun!)  and then i woke up on friday morning, i ate breakfast, and GOT TO PLAY TRUCKS AGAIN!  i will think of you every time i play trucks!  I MISS YOU!

love,
emmit
