happy thanksgiving!

we spent the holiday with the buenzows in elgin (obviously).  we departed the norm by having a CREATE YOUR OWN PIZZA- PARTY.  and even though there was no turkey, we still ended up with leftovers.  oh yea, eva, i forgot to bring home my 10 lbs of cheese.  it's in the fridge next to your leftover 4 lbs of cheese.

first up, aunt lisa gets her tresses dressed.  that was easy.  oh no, the difficult one:  I WANT A LITTLE OFF THE SIDES, KEEP THE TOP A BIT LONGER...  WERE YOU EVEN LISTENING TO ME?  DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING?  emily keeps her composure.  TRUST ME.  WOW, YOU'RE A GENIUS!

but here's what really took place

baby loves disco

emmit takes a swimming class on sunday mornings with jem.  today after swim class, we stopped at the golden nugget for lunch and then onto METRO for a little party called BABY LOVES DISCO.  we all had a dancin' good time.  well, emmit had to get through a few tears first because (i think) the music was too loud.  whoa, whoa...  this IS in print. we'll come back to this in about 15 years.  this first photo is jem getting ready for the party!

coloring gramma's hair

i am my father's daughter

there has been this HUGE gaping hole in our sidewalk that could swallow a small child (mine) for a year or two now. after callsss and emailsss to the city and our alderman, this finally happened. mind you, they didn't actually fix it. they nailed a board to the cement, painted it orange, and documented it. close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

more famous words from a 2 year old

Eva and I were getting ready to leave for the baby shower. In order to keep it simple, Eva says to Emily, "I need to run an errand." Emily accepts this but replies, "Are you coming back?"
