aunt dana gave emmit uno for christmas and it has been his FAVORITE game to play! he is even learning to strategize :)

emmit had such an aversion to gum- he hated the texture, I think. so this time it's my turn to be the weirdo parent... it has been my short term goal to get him to chew gum. success.

one sunday morning

legos, legos, legos. that's all I know. oh, wait- and trains! don't ask me about the storm troopers though... maybe just cuz it was a nerd convention? anyways, I was SO bored!!! emmit and micah LOVED this.

dr office

we had to take emmit to the dr on christmas eve to get his hearing checked. at his last parent/teacher meeting I inquired about ADD... they shrugged that off but DID notice he doesn't hear so well... whenever micah accompanies me to the pediatrician's office, he can't keep his hands off scales, out of drawers and cabinets, and plays with every little swab, tongue depressor and rubber glove he can get his hands on.... long story short: emmit failed his hearing test BUT had fluid in his ears SO we were prescribed an antibiotic for 10 days and head back to dr NEXT monday 1/14 for another hearing check. we will keep you updated.

book of mormon

we went to see the "broadway in chicago" play, BOOK OF MORMON while our friends, george and tina (who have a granddaughter a little younger than emmit) watched him and, probably, had a little more fun than we did. I know this because he fell asleep eating dinner in front of tina's tv.
