 the burbs got 6" of snow that covered some freezing rain. I guess it was beautiful. all we got was 6" of slush that turned into ice the next day. not so beautiful. we made a slushman and we were SOPPING wet when we got home.

this girl can master anything! from the very first push off on two wheels to a push off on skates. unbelievable balancing skills.

the sledding hill

the sledding hill was designed into the landscaping plans when they remodeled soldier field. it was our first time here because  a) emmit has been too little  b)  we have had no snow this year- but I just found out they make snow for this hill! and c) I have had no idea where exactly this hill has been. drove around last monday after the snow just to find it. it's right by burnham harbor so.... they open up the private parking lot for the harbor boating members and there is FREE PARKING for the sledding hill!!!! how great is that!?!

daddy-0 got the tickets. if not, emmit would not have gone.... not for $70/seat. I mean, I love him, but $70 theatre tix??? ❤

update

on et's ears: being sent to an ENT. first visit: failed hearing test, had fluid in ears, prescribed antibiotic. second visit: double ear infection (non-symptomatic), prescribed another antibiotic. third visit: STILL fluid present, failed hearing test, referral to ENT. maybe adenoids ??? stay tuned....

january STL trip

TITUS came with us. he was a good house guest- even chased a few critters out of gramee and grandpa's yard for them. but the purpose of this trip was to bring some taylor's into the technological year of..... well, as micah put it, 2008. "new" iMac, flat screen TV, and digital cable. IF they would invest in a DVR, he would give them the benefit of living in the current year.... baby steps.... we did leave them with our old harmony remote, too :-)
