beautiful night for a ballgame

saturday evening, right after work, we decided to go the the sox game last minute. it was a sold out game but micah got our tix online right at the deadline. we paid $3 under face. sox vs yankees. so we jumped on our bikes and rode there. WAY TOO MANY YANKEES FANS! the sox lost but it was a good game. we even pulled out our rally hat :)

famous words of a 2 year old

YES! It's FINALLY here! I have my own 2 year old to get the good nonsense!

so we go to breakfast the other day and we're getting ready to leave. 2 cops sit at the table next to us sporting a full uniform, guns and all.  i get emmit out of his seat and i tell him to wait for mommy. (i had to grab our stuff and double check we haven't left anything behind.) emmit is enthralled at the sight of these cops. as his feet want to wander his eyes are fixated on one of their guns. we are no more than a foot or two from them and he asks me, almost with a sneer,  WHAT'S THIS GUY, MOMMY? WHAT'S THIS GUY?

weekend at gramee's

we went to the lou this past weekend.  we left friday afternoon and returned home tuesday.  since emmit's a bit more mobil and verbal these days, we decided to break down and borrow gramma's dvd player for the road.  we drove as far as possible before breaking it out.  that was bloomington.  right after the I WAN OU!  this first photo is priceless.  caption: in awe.  toy story with his friend BOODY.  next ride in the car was emmit pointing at the headrest repeating BOODY.  BOODY.

grant's farm

on sunday, we went to grant's farm.  ulysses s grant.  now owned by  anheiser bush.  (that means you get to end your visit with 2 free "samples."  exactly what you think.)  we rode the "train" into the farm, fed the goats (you thought emmit would be afraid?!?), watched gramee's shoelace get attacked by said goats, watched the elephant show, and had a round on the carrousel.
