waiting for Q
the quartana's are coming in from ohio to visit! even aunt dana will be here! Q's arrive on friday to the taylor's first then onto the buenzow's. dana will be here on saturday. aunt jen jen sent this yesterday stating that nicholas is ready for chicago. we are ALL so excited!
sunday
we picked emmit up from aunt eva's house house after spending the weekend with his cousins. (micah had to work saturday.) they swam, went to baseball games, and played. emmit did not want to leave. first photo, caption: someone's been hanging around ethan too much. we got in the car and headed up for my girlfriend, kate's, daughter, zoey's, first birthday party. (did you follow?) just before cake, they did a polish tradition of some sort about which path in life she takes. blah blah blah. zoey chose the money and the family (at least kate) was happy =D Emmit was also a big help with the gifts. of course.
monday
gramma took a day off and came into the city to watch emmit play baseball. after that we went to navy pier for lunch, a ride on a pirate ship (sorry, no pictures), and a quick stop at the children's museum (because gramma gets in free by working at allstate). emmit was SO happy to spend the day with her :)

mexico bound
we were invited to our friends', ed and jessica's, wedding a few weeks ago. we flew into puerto vallarta then drove an hour north to sayulita. we rented a four bedroom house, casa conchita, with 3 (single) girlfriends. it all worked out well. our house was centrally located so it quickly became the town hall. everyone would stop by on the way to the beach in the morning and on the way back from town in the evening so we always had a group of friends to hang out with or invite over for a swim. everyone had a great time. the wedding was fun and it was hard to imagine what was going on back home
in the pool
we spent every day in the pool. even when we went to the beach, we still seemed to either start and/or end in our pool. this was also emmit's FAVORITE part of the whole trip
