chicago botanic gardens

last sunday we decided to see the winterland express at the botanic gardens. it was awesome. emmit LOVED it! a little expensive but worth the time, though.

real snow: 99% water  1% soap. pretty cool!

bumped into daddy's rock

another black eye. surprise. micah found one of our landscaping stones outside the fence so he picked it up to walk it back into the yard. emmit followed. micah stopped;  emmit didn't and he ran into micah (actually the rock that micah was holding in his hand). viola. now, how come when this happens ET tells everyone that he "bumped into daddy's rock"... when I turned around to walk down the stairs and didn't know ET was behind me, and takes a tumble, he tells everyone "mommy pushed me down the stairs" ?!?? 

micah and emmit's weekend

friday morning 6:15a, I drove my boys to the train station for the start of their trip to visit gramee and grandpa in STL. I couldn't go for 2 reasons: edgar :*}  and work >{  turns out (as usual) my scheduled apts disintegrated and I could have made it work. but then there's ed. poor edgar. he's getting so old. 14. still kickin' though! blind as a bat, congestive heart failure. but he's definitely got life left in him :))  just can't board (sp?) him.
