A Day on the Farm

We went to go visit my old friend, Kate, and her daughter, Zoey, out in Dekalb. She lives in an old farm house on her Dad's property. They have a garden and tiny pasture for 1 last horse. We played in the yard and garden, fed the horse some carrots, picked some radishes, and ate them straight outta the dirt! YUM!! All that playing made for some dirty little girls :) Scarlet fell asleep within minutes of the ride home. I snapped a picture of the colors of the sunset on the way home, too. Turns out it was because of the wildfires in Canada. I sent a picture to Kate of the dinner we made with the radishes she sent home with us.

Scarlet just couldn't understand why that fence was in the way of the pool. I tried to show her that we had to go through the locker room to get to the pool. She thought that was OBSURD!

Love Notes

I left Emmit a note in his lunchbox (which I never do) and I found one on my grocery list.

Memorial Day Weekend

Butch and Linda came into town. We went to Maggie Daley Park. It was SOO crowded! Then stopped by Buckingham fountain bc they'd never seen it. And on Sunday we did the House of Blues Gospel Bruch. First time and it was so fun! Butch made it up on stage for the dance contest! (He didn't win- but he should have!!!)

She knows how to get on the patio now.

Field Museum

The Chicago Public Library has free museum passes to all the museums that you can check out. Except they only have ONE family pass per museum so they are VERY hard to get. This was a HUGE score for me :)
