mommy's favorite day
...is, of course, sunday. and my favorite part of the day is when the morning sun comes through the family room windows! combine that with a precious little blond one year old and you have yourself a perfect way to start the (my) weekend!!!
happy birthday, jace and dane!
today we went to jace and dane's first birthday party. i love these twins b/c they are the perfect blend of their mother and father (as we all are). this first photo is jace. he is more dean (background). the third photo is dane and he is more his mom, sara- the one with the red hair. (although dane is pictured with an old friend, frankie.)

i'm sorry, i love it! ever since aunt jenjen informed me that "corn hole" is what you call the game of "bean bag toss" in ohio, i can't stop using the phrase. and these are some good pictures of our little one learning the game on his own. pretty good, huh?!

sailing
saturday was a lot of fun. one of my clients, donna, invited us out sailing. donna and her husband along with another pair own a time share slot. so basically they own 1/10 of the boat per season. pretty cool for any one who wants a boat but can't afford to own a boat. needless to say, micah will be looking into this same company (pinacle yachts) regarding info about powerboats for future use...
it was c-c-cold...
the high on saturday was only in the 60's. i could only guess the temperature was a bit cooler than that when we were sailing given the facts: it was dark and we were on the lake. the joke's on us! is it only august?!
