camera shy
every once in a while... eva had all the E's on the couch with her and the second i grabbed the camera, ethan went off to the corner. then i tried to get a photo of everyone walking to the pool and...
so much more fun than before
this park was #1 of 3 indoor parks attached to this GINORMOUS resort. unfortunately i never took any pictures inside the second park. that one had a lazy river inside as well as 2 hot tubs that were half indoor and half outdoor. i think #2 was everyone's favorite because it was always jam packed. this one pictured is, in my opinion, the most little kid friendly. it had a ton of smaller slides and shallower water. it was more like a water-playground.
emmit vs the wave pool
meet the great wave. this pool is pretty cool. it has waves. AND it has a sunroof that lets the UV rays through all year long so you can still suntan in the winter. too bad we only swam in it at night. then came emmit. if you don't know him, this child is FEARLESS. not cool. we played in the still waters for a little while. the waves came. we were STILL playing and wading out into the deep even as the waves grew taller than emmit. i picked him up and he fussed to be put down. i did not let go of him as i put him back into the water and he fussed again for me to let him go. no way. i'm not doing this anymore. parenting is supposed to be fun, right?!? i sat at the water's edge with him and held on as i tried to get him to see how unpredictable the water be. no avail. act II: micah takes emmit out. after playing for a bit and returning to my field of vision, emmit emerges in a lifejacket. i laugh thinking micah doesn't want to deal with "it" anymore. nope. micah calls back saying that one of the lifeguards made him put it on emmit.
