the field museum

this post is a little out of order. this weekend micah had to work (as well as i). micah had an event he produced at millennium park. the company who owns jim bean had a tent at GOURMET CHICAGO. it's like the taste of chicago but, well, gourmet. tickets are $250 but once in, everything is paid for. morton's steakhouse had steak sandwiches (which looked really good), absolut vodka had martinis, and all the vineyards had wines, ect... we took a lap around the event saturday night before going to our dinner reservations at shaw's crab house. (both were out of this world!) needless to say, we had to find a caregiver or 2 for emmit. we met the buenzow's at champs grille in northbrook on thursday night to drop emmit off. uncle keith then took care of all 3 kids on friday before a call was put in to gramma, "MOM, I'M NOT DOING SO GOOD." that's code for "what time do you get home from work?" gramma took over friday night and saturday night (which was the plan anyway, it just started a few hours earlier). sounded like everyone had a good time, though. finally, we met up with the parchims on sunday and went to see the PIRATE exhibate at the field museum. fun. fun. fun.
